I'm new here. Here are my stats:
Age: 13
Height: 5'5
Weight: 161
Waist: 41 inches
Chest: 40 inches
Based on these numbers, where do you think I stand? Am I obese? What effects does my weight have on me? Is my weight a huge problem? What should I do? I don't play any sports, and I don't like them. The file attached is me. Any suggestions?

I am 5'5" as well. My top weight was 165lb which made me (and also you) overweight. It is now a few years later on and I have reached and then maintained a healthy weight (at least 40lb lighter).

I suggest you do some reading about fat loss. For example at http://fatlossboss.com/htlf/HowtoLoseFat.pdf and/or read the tutorial we have on this website (link top left)

Initially you will be focusing your effort on what you eat and how much of it you eat and whether you can create a calorie deficit. A calorie deficit of 500-750 a day can lead to fat loss of 1lb - 1.5lb a week. This would be relative to your current energy needs as an inactive person (approximately 2,042 calories a day based on your stats above). So for example you could aim to eat 1500 calories a day.

What you eat is up to you.

But then again you are 13 - so you may need some help from your parents to make sure that there are appropriate foods around - because it is possible to lose weight by eating 1500 calories of junk foods but it is more doable when food choices are healthier.

Do you have any questions?

HI, I think you situation is terrible, but everyone can lose weight if he or she wants.  First, you mentioned sports. From my point of view, sports is an excellent way to lose weight. Someone may say they don't like sports. Never mind! You can just to try walking a lot. Some reports say that a person can lose 128,000 calories if they walk for 1h(3km/h). You can just walk to school. Or, if the time is limited, just try to go to school by bike.

Besides sports, food is also an impotant part  of weight loss. Give up ice-creams, cream cakes, fizzy drinks and fried food:pizza:. Drink water instead of juice. Eat brown bread instead of white bread. Don't forget! Do not eat a lot of food at one time, and don't eat desserts between meals.

:lightbulb:Well, I think the most difficult part of weight loss is not how to loss weight, but how to keep it off. Just keep the ways above as habits. It did the trick for me. Meanwhile, I think i'm much more healthier.
