Does anybody know if this stuff is lower in fat then say ground beef. I would assume it is, but don't know for sure.

I seen a cooking show the other day that used ground chicken for a recipe, and thought why should I use ground turkey all the time.

Maybe I should try ground chicken. I would think this would be better in enchiladas and things like that, rather than the turkey.

So, I am looking for nutritional information on ground chicken....Please post if you have any.

Ground chicken and ground turkey are pretty comparable.   That means they have less fat then regular ground beef, but more than some of the leaner ground beef cuts. (They are usually of the 93/7 variety, but can vary).  Where you do better is on saturated fat.

I like ground chicken better then ground turkey because I think it reheats better, but in either case I always buy the ground breast (usually turkey only because it is eaier to find!) because it is 99% fat free and tastes way better (IMO!).

Thanks Midge, I knew someone would have some info for me. I will see if the store has some next time I am there....

I guess trying it, is the best way to see if I like it or not.

And yes, its the saturated fats that I want to get away from.
