Hey everybody, hows it going? What do you all think of high fiber foods like cereals and prebiotics?

Some people go by a guideline of 25g of fibre per day. I follow an eating plan that recommends 50-100g per day, and I achieve this simply by eating little other than vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds. For example yesterday got up to 80.83 grams. Foods I ate listed here ( http://nirmk.byethost13.com/staticfood/day.php?dayid=280 ).
Mind you I'm sure lots of people think that the way I eat would be impractical for them.

Nir, that is really intense. How do you calcuate all that out? I assume you've been doing it for a while and the math comes naturally. I'm pretty sure something in the 25 grams range is just about right. There are cereals by LiveActive that offer 3 grams of Inulin per serving and they taste great. You should really check it out on http://www.LiveActiveFoods.com

| I wrote my own computer program to do it just the way I like it. Mind you there are a bunch of websites that can figure out your calories, fibre (and even all your vitamins and minerals). I'm somewhat lazy so if I have to do the math by hand (sometimes I'm separated from my computer) I'll only track calories (and maybe protein) and hope everything else takes care of itself
