:wink:While shopping today I found something new.  (At least it's new to me!)  It's made by Kellogg's and is called K2O - Protein Water.  It has 5g of Protein in a bottle, about 50 calories and zero fat.  I bought one Strawberry kiwi and a tropical blend.  I'm sipping the strawberry one right now - and it is actually rather tastey!  Do you think it would count for part of your 8 glasses of water a day?  (It also has 30mg of Sodium - but, that's not much - probably get that much in my tap water with my water softner - but, I don't know - just guessing.    I used to absolutely HATE drinking water!  I made myself start drinking 8 glasses a day about a year ago - and it was hard.  I've gotten used to it - and stick with it most of the time.  But, it is really easy for me to drift away - and not drink as much as I should.  :dizzy:Since I have been eating so many fruits and vegetables - I haven't been getting as much protein.  (Hey - I like to eat A LOT - and you can eat lots more fruit and veggies than meat!  I just thought that if this stuff will be Ok to use for part of the daily requirement - it would be great to get the extra protein as well!!!

Thinking I might just go and buy some more of this tomorrow.......  I like the taste.

I'm not familiar with that product. 5g protein in 50 calories works out as 40% of the calories from protein [same percentage as skimmed milk, incidentally]. You could get more protein in your water by mixing in some Whey or Soy-Protein-Isolate shake powder (which is typically 80%-of-calories-from protein).

Getting protein from your vegetables: look at mushrooms, broccoli, asparagus, spinach, garden peas, cauliflower, zuccini. All of these veg are 30% or more of calories from protein (some are over 50%).

Ocassionally have some legumes (beans and lentils). You have to be more careful with those quantities - but they do 'fill you up' quite effectively and have also got protein in them (25-30% of calories from protein).
