Hi everyone! I'm pretty new here. Just had a questions for you.

I'm so addicted to Coffees. I was up to one like every other day and then was down to once a week. That was at Starbucks and I know their Mocha's are so high in calories and fat.

Anyway, I found this cute little coffee shop and they have a Fat-free Chocolate syrup. Well I asked her how many calories and she told me that it was Fat-free, calorie free and sugar free. The only calories would be from the milk, which I get skim and I don't get a large, I get a 12 oz.

What do you think. Can I trust this? Does anyone know if there is such a thing?

Any input would be appreciated!

:)

Sounds like mumbo jumbo, but if you enjoy it and you only have one every so often, where's the harm?

The only thing I can think of without fat, calories or sugar would be water (and that's not usually very 'syrupy').

The next time you go in for your treat, ask to see the bottle that it comes out of . . . maybe she 1) thought you were kidding, and was joking with you 2) is slightly stupid and thinks that fat free = calorie free.

:) I forgot to put the smiley, so everyone would know that I'm not evil for saying your coffee shop girl might be not really bright :)

Well I did a search and came up with this:

monin.com/us/en/sugarfree.html

I don't know if its the same, or if it's good for you, but I guess I can ask. Then she'll think that I don't believe her. But I don't want the hidden calories. I would rather have it every blue moon and know what I'm having.

Anyway, thanks for the advice.

:)

I was really addicted to Starbuck's Mocha Frappacino's and I have discovered that they have a light version so I am able to treat myself occassionally without feeling guilty.  Maybe they have (or can make) a light version of your favorite drinks too?

They use artificial sweetners (like I do here forum14/1296.html) but unlike me they obviously they don't use cocoa powder - perhaps they just use chemicals that simulate chocolate flavour (like the do in coffee/vanila essence products) thus further saving on the calories?
