Has anyone tried shirataki noodles? Are they any good?

For those of you that ahven't heard of them, they are japanese noodles which have no carbs, and under 20 calories per 100g. They are apparently a diet miracle! I'm thinking of buying some online, but would like to hear any opinions on them?

*****Edited to say, I think there are two types, the ones made from tofu, with 20 calories per 100g, and the yam noodles, with 5 calories per 200g?*****

I've never heard about them but I'm a regular reader of Susan's blog and she's written about them in 2006: http://blog.fatfreevegan.com/2006/09/shirataki-noodles-with-tomato-pesto.html

yes, i have had them.  but they made me nauseated.  there is a warning somewhere about that and i didn't follow that.  i guess if you are not used to them, you are supposed to start slowly.  but i haven't tried them since.  it's been like 2 years, i can now think of them without getting sick....
might give them another go though.  they do have a weird texture and you can look up ways to make them so that isn't as noticeable, supposedly.  but i think i'd rather stick with the good noodles (wheat) and just keep my portions low....

Wow, I wouldn't mind trying them also. I don't want to order them over the internet. Certainly some special food store, or even walmart would carry them.

I will check around see what I can find out... Thanks for posting about them. I love to try new foods...
