Hi there,

Hope you're all having a good day :-)

One quick loss diet that does work is the Cabbage soup diet.  It doesn't taste nice and should only ever be used for a week or so to quickly shed some pounds before moving on to a more long-term standard calorie controled diet.  It does however allow you to lose weight quickly in a very short period of time, which puts you in a better mood for fully entering a more traditional diet.

I would rather just not eat for a week:) I heard the side effects of eating cabbage--digestive wise is pretty bad:) :) Did you lose weight?

I'm against any sort of fad diet as it does nothing to improve your nutritional habits which is what you should be aiming for if you want to maintain a lean, healthy body!
However I feel I need to come to the defense of the cabbage!!!!! I LOVE it!! Yes it can be bad for your insides if you have too much but the Savoy variety is much much much gentler on the stomach.... and it's so low calorie and PERFECT When steamed with a little bit of pasta sauce for additional flavour... especially on those bitterly colds nights (that we're experiencing here in Australia right now!)
Long live the cabbage!!!!
:)

I know what you mean.  Cabbage loses its appeal after a work, but as a short term method for quickly losing weight in preperation for a more balanced diet, it is quite effective.

I don know why everyone is doing these crash diets - the particular work "crash" is what it does to your body. If you drop calories too far you lose muscle of which 25% of your weight loss will be, which drops your metabolism which causes you to gain weight, which will be all fat unless you weight train. The key to healthy weight loss is a small caloric deficet and a good exercise program consisting of aerobics and most importantly weight training so you dont lose precious muscle. These fad diets are money sucking jokes.
