I have been anorexic for about a year and still restrict. I've recently had a lot of health complications (gallbladder removal and pulmonary hypertension, to name a few) and now all of the sudden- anytime I eat or drink hardly anything I get extremely bloated and retain water.
I can gain 3 to 5 pounds eating a bowl of cereal... How can I make this better??

| If you're worried, ask a medical professional, but I would still try to eat and your body should get used to it. Try different foods to see if one particular food is a problem

Hello April27,
You could be consuming too much sodium. The bloating from eating salty foods will eventually go away.
Pulmonary hypertension can cause edema so please see your medical professional to rule out worsening of this condition.
Please continue to eat though.
