Just wondering if you have a tattoo and your over weight and you start losing the pounds. Will the tattoo become disfigured or look funky when you start to slim down? Like if you had some type of graphic or portrait will it become stretched or what not? Just wondering

| I think it would if it was on your stomach, upper arms or sides...basically the soft fleshy bits. I have 5 but they're all on non stretchy parts of my body & through gain & loss they havent changed.

| I think its really going to depend on how much weight you lose or gain. If its a smaller amount of weight it wont be too big of a difference i dont think.

| yeah it would have to be a lot of weight fast, not like 5kg or something. I think they would look like old people tattoos...all wobbly & stuff!

| wow thats disturbing ha ha ha. I overheard someone saying something like "imagine in 40-50 years all of the grandmas are going ot be tattooed, pierced and listening to rap music" kind of funny to think about.

I had my tattoos when I was thin, only the big one noticeably changed shape when I put on the weight. Now that I am close to my old weight it has reverted to the original shape.
I am sure it is partly dependent on skin elasticity and all that though too.

| I have 2 one on each upper arm. When they did mine they streached the skin tight (similar to gaining weight)(I had my first one done when I was thinner and the second when I was heavy) and then did the tattoo. Since I have lost some weight they look better. The detail seem tighter. I suppose if you lost alot of weight and had them done when you were heavy they could distort.
