Ok, I used the activity calculator to figue out how many calories I expend in a normal 24 hour period. I have a desk job, so weekends I would expend even more working out in my yard and riding my horses...here is what I came up with:

Totals:  2,623 calories in 24 hr

Sleeping
  614 calories in 9 hr
Sitting - quietly (e.g., watching TV)
  340 calories in 4 hr 30 min
Eating - sitting
  170 calories in 1 hr 30 min
Walking - in home
  76 calories in 30 min
Walking - down stairs
  19 calories in 5 min
Walking - up stairs
  50 calories in 5 min
Weight Lifting - free weights or machine, moderate
  76 calories in 20 min
Calisthenics - vigorous
  454 calories in 45 min
Sitting - talking or talking on phone
  824 calories in 7 hr 15 min

I am eating 1200-1400 calories a day and still struggling to lose 1-2 lbs a week. Is this calculator accurate. Also it shows my BMR to be 1450. It just doesn't seem right. By doing the math, I should be losing approximately 2.44 lbs a week eating 1400 a day.

In my experience the activity calculator tends to overestimate.

If you divide 2623 by 1450 you get 1.81 yet if you use the RMR calculator you probably would not have picked that number as your activity factor (I would have suggested "Lightly Active") so keep eating low as in my opinion that's closer to what you need.

If you consider 45 minutes of intense exercise 5-7 days a week (heart rate btwn 135-152 during interval training) as well as weight training 5-7 days a week then what would you consider moderately active?

I would have thought that would have fallen at least under moderate.

You may have a point there.

[incidentally I use 1.55 as an activity factor myself (or 1.5 sometimes) despite essentially workout out every day of the week with few exceptions. My experience (trying to eat at a variety of levels to figure out what it takes to maintain) shows that I've got it about right]

Well, no matter what any of the calculators say, I refuse to go below 1200 calories. That will just throw me into stravation mode. The ideal weight calculator on this site also said I should be 107 lbs. I know if I am under 125 I look sickly. So their calculataors are not always right. I'll just keep doin what I am right now and the weight will come off. I've lost it before. I know how to do it. It's maintaining once I get there.....

1450 x 1.55 = 2248 (maintenance). 2248 x 0.8 = 1798. So fear not, the calculators imply you should be eating around 1800 (and certainly no lower than 1450) to lose fat.

Instead of aiming for a particular weight, it is a better idea to aim for a particular body fat % (see Calculating Body Composition for suggested values)

I try really hard not to focus on weight or body fat at all (although sometimes it is really hard) I take it one day at a time and try to eat right and exercise every day. If I do that then I consider myself successful for that day no matter what. And in the end the results are a lean fit body. I know if I am eating natural unprocessed foods and exercising/strenth training the lbs and the body fat will come off.
