Hey thanks for taking the time to read my post :)
About 4 weeks ago I started to get my life in order and focus on loosing the unwanted weight. I started by just decreasing the amount of food I would eat every day to a level where I could get by without feeling hungry and could live comfortably. About 2 weeks ago I really started to look at the kinds of foods I've been eating and trying to filter out the kinds of foods that would not be good for my diet. From what people have been saying it's working but there is still a lot of work to be done! :P
Right now I can get out almost every other day and do a walk (I usually take my dog on a 1.5 - 2 hour walk every other day, depending on weather) and when I feel like it (which is not too often) I get out and jog (but I'm so out of shape I can barely go 10 minutes without falling over dead). At night I used to do a very little bit of weight training with some 5 lbs. weights I had but recently I've been having to do around 25 reps and not feeling anything (Is it time to get heavier weights?).
As far as eating habits go I've been living off of lean turkey sandwiches and grilled chicken salads. It's starting to get a little bland and could really use something else. I am a cook so I can definitely use some recipes that are on the inexpensive side and are also good for you :) One thing I really need to work on is eating breakfast. Since I wake up at 7 am almost every day for school or work I never have time to get a meal in the morning (I'm a night guy :X). Are there any easy and quick meals I could either prepare before I go to bed or a small snack to get me going?
So I was curious about a few things. I'm a college student and can't really afford a gym membership so I was wondering if anyone had any exercises that they liked to do to get some weight training in that were inexpensive. Also anyone have any cardio activities that they liked to do other than jogging maybe even with another person?
Thanks for all your help, this site has really helped me get started :D

Hi , well for breakfast you could have some yogurt with some granola stired in, you could make some hard boiled eggs to take along to school ( just make sure to keep them cool , and a handful of mixed nuts is great too, and for lunch what about making some tuna salad you could even stir in some egg salad into the tuna salad it is very good. As far as exercise goes well anything that gets your heart rate up for at least 20 minutes is very good, dancing, walking ( walk at a normal speed and then increase for a minute , switch off and on ) riding bike, these are just a few ideas and I am sure that others will have more good ideas.

one more thing, you can purchase hand weights that are not that expensive I paid under 20 dollars for mine.
