Hi, I'm a new register here but have been reading the threads for a while (I have all the 'Thinspirations' written in my diary!!Thanks for them!!:P).
Anyway, I'm only slightly overweight by my BMI and am constantly trying to shift those last pesky 10lbs. I've just finished my first Uni year but have made alot of mistakes this year and am trying to basically fix the things I've messed up, so I'm really determined to lose around 10-14lbs to get a good BMI and body image by my new semester.
I try to exercise regularly, eat well around 4 times a day and eat enough calories, but I'm hoping to find somethings I can start eating to give me good carbs to replace my usual small amounts of pasta and potatoes. :yumm: Any one got any suggestions??
Thanks!!

Hi There!
One thing I do is try to keep the 'bad' carbs down. I eat whole grains and that includes pasta. There are several kinds out there now from flax seed to whole wheat...I have plenty of recipes I will be sharing soon!
Also, try brown and wild rice instead of potatoes. Don't get my wrong, sometimes the need for a good ole baked potato gets me too, just don't slap on all that butter...I scoop out the inside, mix it with a little cream cheese and herbs and put it back in half the potato skin.
I have hit the library and found millions of great ideas that covers everything from breakfast to bedtime snacks and everything in between!
Good luck

I don't know that I have any advice but you do have all my sympathy. I lost a large amount (118 lbs) and it took me over 2 years and I spent the whole last 6 months working on that last 10 lbs. They were absolutely the hardest of the whole bunch.
Good Luck and if there is anything I can do to help.....
