Have you guys noticed whether your nightmares are more or less frequent based on how you've been eating recently? I think I might start journaling to keep track of it for a few months. I'm definitely a binge-restrict-overexercise-binge-normal-etc person and I've noticed my dreams are very...unpredictable. I started thinking about this because I had a freaky dream last night after a day of eating a lot of unhealthy food but I never took notice of whether my dreams are more pleasant after watching my intake for a few days in a row. Probably because it doesn't happen often.

Only what I eat just before bed.  If I eat cheese I almost always have weird dreams.  What I eat earlier in the day doesn't seem to make any difference.

I'd definitely agree with Nancy.  Something about the digestion process stimulates the dream sequence in us.  I haven't seen any evidence of nightmares from foods consumed earlier in the day.
