I was just recently in 7-Eleven and saw a display for this product called Skinny Water, which claims to suppress your appetite just by drinking it before every meal... and I was wondering if anyone has heard of it or tried it before and does it work like they say? I looked on google, and found that they have a site, skinnywater.com and read through some of the information and it seems to be pretty legit.
What do you think?

Hello Ishy,
I edited the internet address in your post; please read the forum Terms of Use.
I don't know about Skinny Water, but it would be fun to do a test. Just get some other containers or whatever and use plain water as a placebo!
As I understand it, drinking water on an empty stomach may or may not make you feel satiated. It depends on the person.
But drinking water with a meal helps because the fiber in your meal absorbs the water, expands and makes you feel fuller.
But the greatest trick -- if you're into gimmicks -- is simply to eat slowly. It gives your stomach time to feel full before you've already eaten too much.
Let us know about the water!

Hi Ishy -
If you're interested in losing body fat, just make sure you drink lots of ordinary water. If you don't keep your liquid levels up, your liver can't burn fat. As to Skinny Water, I've never seen it and am not interested in trying it. There's enough 'snake oil' out there already that is aimed at people desperate to 'lose weight'.
What's plenty of water? Between 1 milliltre (ml) and 1.5 ml per calorie burned. So, if you burn 2000 calories a day, that's between 2 and 3 litres of water you need. Bet you're not drinking enough...
Go on, make me happy and tell me I'm wrong!
Best of luck,
NevD
